AboutOso2In the beginning it all started with a dream… a love to cook… an addiction to smoke… a desire to bring people together… which began in a wooden shack located in Libby, Montana.


After growing out of the shack, we brought Oso to the Flathead Valley, at our first mobile event in the Winter of 2013, Cabin Fever Days.  Since then, Oso has grown from the little shack to a presence in the Flathead known for its mobile food presence at community markets and special events, providing amazing catering services for any size crowd, and our 5-star reviewed restaurant: Oso’s Smokin BBQ.

Erico “Oso” Romero grew up in the family restaurant business, which is where his love for creating fine food started. Familiar with many culinary styles, Erico’s love for smoked meats developed in Northwest Montana.  Learning from the best, Erico started to develop his own style and recipes.

With a strong foundation of authentic Mexican recipes and cooking techniques passed down from generation to generation, Erico started experimenting with combining the family recipes with hiscured and smoked specialties.  Erico’s smoked meats combined with an authentic Mexican twist has made Oso’s dishes unique to anything else in the Flathead Valley.
